Since both the tv series and the film have strong sexual overtones which must naturally remain unrequited. Smash’ earns its purple “X” with flying uninhibited colors.From the outset – when the medical units dash to the rescue of the crew of a fallen B25, to their return to the base camp with the wounded airmen and though the ensuing operations of their zanyfield hospital – we are treated to a succesion of vignettes loaded with erotic, comical fair-cut exploits and situations.
