Since it was shot on film, Anna shows up as better-than-usual among Jose Benazeraf's pornography output late in his career. What it lacks in the fashion and story values of his classic '60s (soft) films, it makes up for in explicit eroticism essayed by beautiful actresses. Manager amongst these is Brigitte Lahaie, crimson super hot in a 30-minute troilism scene set in a bar, which opens the film. It convincingly taps the fetish of "sex in public places", as both Lahaie and a patrician looking femme dressed in a joy button necklace get down nearly surreptitiously with some fortunate guy. The tag-team episode format has Karine Gambier taking over center stage for the next long segment, set glamorously in a country home location as two workmen her. Less familiar, but very enthralling damsels (including German import Claudia Mehringer), wrap up the proceedings with identically vibing episodes set at the same home. Benazeraf is careful to keep his flick visually interesting, an item he was to quit when changing to more claustrophobic movie shoots in the '80s.
