The film offers to look at the heroes of the same name Ovid in modern scenery. The ancient gods live in immigrant neighborhoods, drive cars, go shopping. In their lives are interwoven ordinary rituals, which, however, do not interfere with the manifestation of ancient passions. Sublime, defiant, haughty and loving - they successfully combined with the leisurely rhythm of the film, verified by editing and a gentle soundtrack. Thanks to excellent directing, Christophe Honoré obtained one of the most interesting and outstanding films in the French cinema of the last two years.
