Special effects, humor, a dirty-talking audience and excellent close-ups of rimming, sucking and fucking are highlights, captured in good lighting and set to an enjoyable score. The story lacks some of Black Forest's usual political and social commentary and ends up being a bit of one long joke throughout the flick, but is entertaining nonetheless, particularly through the banter from the voyeuristic crowd. According to Guide to Gay Northeast, "The all-black cast performs enthusiastically and the passion on screen seems real." According to Manshots, "The film, however, does have many good points, not the least of which is Gene LeMar in his screen debut. He is the genie in question. In his two episodes, he appears as a construction worker and as a leather man. He proves his versatility as a performer, capably being either top or bottom, according to the will of the person who has brought the genie forth. The first time he comes is especially riveting."
