Question for women and gay/bi men

This question is in relation to the depictions of the male body in both softcore and hardcore porn. Am I the only one who has noticed that since the mid-90s, depictions of the male body have basically been removed from movies? I've seen quite a few pre-1990s movies and the male body was quite prevalent throughout e.g. men wore bikini thongs, strippers were on popular talk shows, hardcore porn feature the male body more prominently, etc. I have my own theories on why men have seemingly disappeared from mainstream and popular culture, but I'm curious about what everyone else thinks.

Do you think that the male body has been relegated to the backroom? Would you like to see men featured more prominently in both porn and popular culture? Why do you think we have moved away from the male body? (Aside from the obvious answer that studios realize they can sell more movies/websites by featuring women).
