Playboy Playmate Barbara Moore



Barbara was born on August 21st in Spokane, Washington, and grew up in Seattle, near Puget Sound. As a child, Barbara had a rich and raucous fantasy life, but so do most children. It wasn't the wild heights her imagination soared to that set her apart from others - it was the raw material of her imagination that revealed so much about her.

Young Barbara danced exuberantly around the house, and felt as though she were on stage lifted by wings. She watched "Gone With The Wind" and saw herself playing Vivian Lee's role. Goldie Hawn, an actress whose talents span a broad comedic and dramatic range, was both the recipient of Barbara's esteem and a model of success to be emulated.

In her youth, what her imagination seemed to reveal was that Barbara was a girl with a special fate awaiting her, a girl who had unique gifts to share with the world. Multi-talented people frequently face the challenge of knowing exactly what form their gifts will take, and Barbara was no different in this respect. She knew she belonged in the limelight. By the time Barbara graduated from high school, she knew that a wonderful future beckoned, and she summoned her courage and meager resources and struck out for a new and different city.

Barbara began modeling and appearing in music videos, working with country music stars Hank Williams Jr., Reba MacEntire, Charlie Daniels, and Waylen Jennings. Time marched on and eventually Barbara stormed the bastions of the west coast and the entertainment industry.

Barbara did a test shoot for "Playboy" magazine, and was picked to be a Miss December Playmate of the Month centerfold.

As a spokes person for "Playboy", Barbara has traveled the globe, exposing herself to different people and cultures, making new friends, absorbing new experiences. By the time she settled down in Los Angeles her acting career was gaining impressive momentum. "Married...with Children", "Silk Stockings", "Baywatch", "Blossom", "Sex in the City", "Nightstand", "Ace Venture", "Austin Powers", "The Last Acton Hero", are among her on screen credits, not including the plethora of hefty assignments she garnered across the broad range of print media (the cover of "Entertainment Weekly", Muscle and Fitness", "Insider", "Playboy", "Bizarre", and most recently "People" Australia, and many appearances on television. Barbara is the feature model in the 2004 bonus calendar seen in the December issue of Stuff magazine. Not only is Barbara one of the most popular swimwear and pinup models in the world, she also holds the title of The U.S. National Pro-Am Standard Ballroom Champion two years undefeated.

Barbara's career as an actress and model still continues to grow, but so do her talents and creative aspirations. While Barbara considers her involvement in these aspects of the entertainment industry the realization of a dream nurtured since early childhood, Barbara has discovered passion, enthusiasm, and talent- as evidenced by her victories during the last two years since she's been dancing - for this highly stylized and demanding form of dance is boundless.

Only after the first year of her dance career began she was awarded by The American Ballroom Company and The Regional Championships the title of 1999 U.S. National Top Overall ProAm Female of the Year. In the last two years of Barbara has been so fulfilling...dancing in major competitions across the United States.

Though Barbara is too modest to say so, it's as though dancing is the perfect extension of her outward beauty, the consummate kinetic representation of her loveliness. You might even say that dancing is the ideal embodiment of her cliche....
