Heatwaves is a feature that directs itself to an area of voyeurism which has become a new magnet for the adult viewer with varied tastes. Just as anal and interracial sex was always there, the recent explosion of bisexual productions has created a new area of “different” pleasures. One needs only to look back to a film called Both Ways to see how far the genre has come in just a couple of years.

A group of attractive people have hired a yacht to explore romantic new areas, and while their initial sexual drives head them down proven paths, it doesn’t take long for them to start exploring previously unchartered areas. The camera work is marvelously explicit and the characters perform their sexual exploits with vigor.

The fault I find with this genre is that while producers in general have always felt free to deal with two women making love, there is still a taboo with two men. This sexual form is still the exclusive of “male films.” In every bi-sexual film I have seen except Both Ways, coupling between two men is always at the direction of the women involved. We have crossed many boundaries in the Eighties and it is time to accept the fact that homosexual male love does not have to be heterosexual turn on. The audience who will watch this and other bi-sex features should be intelligent enough to accept it.

My recommendation, therefore, is that if you are mature enough to not be turned off by homosexual acts, this is an excellent video as far as it goes. Watch it to see how far we have come in a short time and hope as I do, that this is the beginning of a new understanding of the sexual freedom of our time.
