Kama Sutra Secrets to the Art of Love Documentary Summary:

Kama Sutra, also called the Book of Love, came to us from India and shows the form of eroticism that leads to spiritual realization. Graphically presented in 3D technology, the 50 most representative positions from the Kama Sutra have been chosen to arouse and ignite your sexual arousal.

This film is one hour and a quarter of demonstrations of 50 sexual positions between a man and a woman, taken from the Kama Sutra. There are different men and women for different positions. They all look to be in their twenties or thirties. There are two sets, both clearly in studios but designed to look like tastefully decorated bedrooms. The cameras move around the partners showing them from different angles and keeping the image flowing. It also enables the video from showing any genitals, by using carefully chosen angles. In a voice-over, a female narrator, gives information about the position in slightly breathy suggestive tones. Jazzy, repetitive ambient music plays in the background.

It is fairly obvious that the actors, while naked, are not actually having sex, and even if they were, you would not be able to see much. The actors move with a constant writhing, in an elegant simulation of sex, as if they were dancing to the music. The actors turn their necks in swaying motions in a symbol of ecstasy. The positions are often quite athletic and the motions would probably look rather different if they participants were actually coupled together. They would look rather sweatier and their faces would probably take on rather more pronounced expressions.

As a guide to sex, this DVD is unlikely to be very useful, because it does not show the various attempts to get it right. Maybe it provides more guidance than written descriptions or pictures in a book, but probably not much more. The 3D effect may be fun, but it certainly doesn?t provide any additional instructional value.

All told then, this Kama Sutra DVD is more suited for erotic entertainment or as a suggestive gift than as a useful guide to sex.There is a 3D effect, although it is not strong.

Strip Nude for Your Killer Movie Summary:

When a fashion model dies during an abortion, a series of murders begins, starting with her doctor. The next victims are connected to the modeling agency where she worked, Albatross, run by a hard edged and jealous bi-sexual, Gisella, married to a Farouk-like dissolute. One suspect is Carlo, a playboy photographer who has a hot temper and refuses to share information with the police. He becomes the lover of Magda, another photographer at the agency, who?s probably in danger. The murderer wears a black motorcycle outfit and helmet. Will anyone discover the murderer?s identity before the entire agency dies?

Very watchable giallo, which as the English title suggests, wallows in nudity and sex (much of it with a seeming wink to the audience). Stylistically and plot-wise, it?s pretty much giallo-by-numbers, with the expected camera and editing flourishes and some fairly good suspense. There are plenty of point-of-view shots of the heavy-breathing masked killer, shock cuts, lots of red herrings and obscure motivations, etc. However, it?s the outrageous political incorrectness of it all that separates this one from the mainstream ? the male characters are all cranky and abusive and the females are eager to shed their duds in response. Certainly a must-see for Edwige Fenech fans, and the fade-out is unbelievably tacky, right out of one of those low-humour Italian comedies. There?s also fine score, a mixture of funky Bitches-Brew jazz and woo-woo lounge stylings, which helps bridge the suspense scenes.

The deranged Roman emperor Gainus ?Caligula? (Little Boots) Caesar (12-41 A.D.) rules Rome with an iron fist and has anyone tortured and exectued for even the slightest insubordination. Mostly set during his last year of his reign, as Caligula loses support due to his brutal and crazed excess, a young Moor woman, named Miriam, becomes his lover while ploting to kill him to avenge the murder of a friend which Caligula was responsible for. But Miriam is torn between her personal vandeda against Caligula and her own personal feelings towards him despite his madness and debauched lifestyle of orgies and bloody torture murders.

If you thought the Tinto Brass movie about loony Roman emperor Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus Germanicus (better known to most as Caligula) was shocking, wait ?til you see what seasoned sleaze merchant Joe D?Amato does with the story.

Doing away with the kind of artistic pretencions that occasionally spoilt the better known 1979 take on the tale, old Joe (here working under the pseudonym David Hills) concentrates his energy on delivering tons of nudity and perverted sex (softcore and hardcore), some truly nasty gore, and even a little repellent animal action à la his infamous Emanuelle in America. The result may not be as visually impressive as Tinto?s film, and it certainly hasn?t got the novelty value of such a renowned cast (no Dame Helen Mirren or Peter O?Toole in this one), but it does take the sleaze to an even higher level.

D?Amato?s favourite leading lady, Laura Gemser, plays Miriam, a slave-girl who vows to kill Caligula (David Brandon) after he rapes and murders her best friend. Securing a place as a whore at one of his lavish orgies, she manages to become the mad emperor?s lover, hoping to strike when his guard is down (and his toga is up). But as she spends more time with crazy Cal, Miriam?s feelings begin to change?

With Caligula II: The Untold Story, Italy?s prolific master of exploitation manages to successfully meld his passion for porno with an interesting plot?something I felt he failed to do with Emanuelle in America and Porno Holocaust, the other XXX classics of his that I?ve had the dubious pleasure of viewing. However loosely based on history D?Amato?s film is, it is still worth a watch simply because the central character?a tyrant who believed himself a god?is so fascinating.

Known for his extravagance, decadence, and cruelty, Caligula is the perfect subject for a sensationalist movie, and the makers of The Untold Story certainly do him proud. The following scenes have been unflinchingly filmed for your viewing pleasure:

? a would-be assassin has his tongue cut out and his tendons slashed;

? vestal virgins are ?deflowered-by-dildo? and then taught the art of fellatio;

? sex-mad participants at an orgy (including a dwarf, who gets in on the action) witness a woman pleasuring a horse, and a brutal gladiator fight which results in blood spraying over the eager onlookers;

? a baby is killed by being thrown against a wall;

? and, perhaps worst of all, several men are fully impaled on spears (which emerge from their chest, having been inserted right up their ass!).

Both sickening and sexy, Caligula II: The Untold Story is uncompromising movie-making which is certain to appeal to fans of sleazy exploitation and extreme cinema.

Sort of a cross between ?Love Story? and an earthy Rembrandt painting, this movie stars Rutger Hauer as a gifted Dutch sculptor who has a stormy, erotic, and star-crossed romance with a beautiful young girl.
