software for imagehosts

Does anyone know what kind of software www.imagerise.com uses for their imagehost, or does anyone know of any good software for starting an imagehost? Preferably open source software (or at least it should be possible for us to change the code and do some development ourselves...). Any good GPL-scripts out there?
